Blake will open for Motörhead in Helsinki

Yeah yeah, we all know that gambling is for fools but this is a safe bet. A Finnish rock/blues/metal group Blake is going to open the night with the legendary Motörhead in Helsinki at December 15th 2009. Since the release of their latest album "Sa7urnus", Blake has been touring all over the Finland and probably this will be the last gig before entering the studio again.

So, all of you beer drinkers and hell raisers, we'll hope that we meet you all there at the Ice Hall! The gig is almost sold out but there could still be some tickets available from lippu.fi

Kari Reini is the new drummer of Blake

Finnish metal band Blake is proudly introducing a new member in the band. The new drummer is Mr. Kari "Korak" Reini, who has a widely accepted reputation from the bands 45 Degree Women and Hybrid Children just to mention a few. With Kari, the band is now ready and willing to enter a new phase in its journey - upwards and even further than ever before! As the Blake's leader Aaro Seppovaara puts it clearly out: "Kari has been a strong support for us since the early days. He is already a close friend to each of us and now we are more than happy to share all the work with him as musicians too!"

Kari's first public appearance is tonight at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki (opening act for AC/DC).

Blake will open for AC/DC in Helsinki

Black Ice found on Saturn?

No, this is not a joke. We are proud to confirm the rumors to be true - Blake is going to open for AC/DC in Helsinki on June 17th! The venue is Olympic Stadium and the concert is sold out, so there will be a plenty of rockers and rollers, hopefully most of them already at the stadium round 6.30pm, when Blake hits the stage.

It is probably too obvious to mention, that the guys and crew of Blake are more than anxiously waiting for this gig! Since the release of their latest album "Sa7urn" in November 2008, Blake has successfully toured most of the Finnish rock clubs. This gig at the Olympic Stadium will serve as a perfect kick-off to the Blake's festival summer ´09.

AC/DC started its "Black Ice" tour in October and their last visit in Finland was 2001. Blake is happy to testify their appearance again. We'll hope you'll be there too!

..and we are pretty sure that we need to post a little bit more about this gig later!
